On March 14th, it was officially announced that the FANUC CR-35iA was the winner of the Publieksprijs (Audience Award) handed out during the TechniShow held in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The TechniShow is the largest and most important trade show in the field of industrial production technology, treatment and processing of metals, plastics, accessories and tools in the Benelux area. The Publieksprijs Award is held in relation to the trade show with the aim of letting the public openly vote and decide on which product they see as most innovative of the year.
Peter Kiekens, Sales and Marketing Manager at FANUC Benelux: "The CR-35iA is the only industrial collaborative robot in the world. There is not one of its kind that can handle 35 kilograms and has a working range of 1813 mm. The CR-35iA has a special sensitive cover, which enables it to stop moving immediately at the slightest touch. "
For FANUC Benelux , the TechniShow is the first trade show where the robot is officially shown to the local market. "We have been waiting for this exhibition to show and promote the CR-35iA to the. The CR-35iA only stops moving when the operator touches it. This allows the robot to work much closer to the mold or other peripherals than any other competitive product. The programming is done in the same way as a standard FANUC robot."
